Goodbye Website - Hello Blog
I’ve decided to go back to using blogspot for my blog. This website will be expiring shortly, and I just can’t justify keeping it up anymore. I would be thrilled if you join me on my new blog - http://myscrappingdaze.blogspot.com/
I hope to see you there!
It’s That Time of Year
Yes, it is the holiday season, but to our family it is the time of the year that UPS, Fed Ex, and the US Postal Service comes to visit with boxes! That’s right - Black Friday was a huge success! We got so many good deals it isn’t funny. The boys are going to have a fantastic Christmas and it didn’t cost us much to give it to them. It is great going to a store, seeing an item and knowing you got it so much cheaper.
We are also officially done with our shopping. I just have to finish wrapping it all now. I have been trying to keep up with it all so it doesn’t get overwhelming, which is one of the smartest things I have ever done. Yes, that means I have been wrapping in front of Nathan. Luckily he doesn’t quite understand what is happening and even if he does, he doesn’t speak clearly enough to tell people what he is thinking…lol. I have realized though that this will be the last year I can do my shopping and wrapping in front of him. He is having just too much fun playing with the toys as I’m trying to wrap. Poor kid.
This is also the time of the year when I get the most frustrated. For those of you who don’t know, my mother’s side of the family is Jewish. I’m not, and I wasn’t raised that way. However, no one knows - and by no one I’m talking the general public. When people wish me a Merry Christmas I’m tempted to answer “Happy Hanukkah”. What makes people assume I celebrate Christmas? I mean I do…but how to they know?
My oldest, Alex, came home from school with a Santa face advent calendar - he has to glue one cotton ball on each date to help count down until Christmas. That is fun and he loves it, but what about the kids that don’t celebrate? Now last year his 2nd grade teacher taught about all the holidays, and they did games from all of them. That was just perfect…no one was singled out. Why can’t everyone be like that.
So I’m going to wish you all a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season - whichever holiday you celebrate.
Happy Black Friday!

Are You Hot for Teacher?
Did I get your attention? Trixie Scraps Designs did a collaboration kit with Simply Scraps called . Have you seen the TV show Glee? This kit was inspired by that show. I haven’t seen the show before, but now I’m curious.

Now I have a question for you - have you read the Twilight series? Do you plan on seeing the new movie? I was going to go with my sister-in-laws, but now I’m going to see Blindside instead. After seeing the stars of the movie doing their publicity tour I really don’t think I want to see it anymore. The girls in the audience were crying when they saw them, scream, and even shaking! I mean come on. Really? Crying? I may just wait for the movie to come out on Blu-ray - or I may just skip it all together. The first movie bothered me because it didn’t follow the book. I spent the whole movie thinking nope, that didn’t happen that way. I wonder if this movie follows it better, but I’m not sure it is worth finding out. Are you planning on seeing it? Any thoughts about it?
I suppose I should go do some laundry - so I can go see Blindside with a clear conscience…lol. I hope to hear your responses soon!
